Despite all the hype I HATED Gareth Pughs first collections, i thought it was all a bit derivative but Spring Summer 09 kind of changed my mind on him and he seems to be now churning out stuff I quite like. I think his work is much stronger when he doesn't feel the need to fling the big 'conceptual' pieces down the catwalk purely for the sake of it.
